The decision to go live in another country is a tough decision. It is necessary to be well informed, knowing that everywhere in the world there are favorable aspects and others that we may not like. Unlike choosing a destination to go on vacation, there are many points to take into account, including education, health, and security, among others. In this sense, Canada ticks many boxes that make it considered one of the best countries to live in. In fact, UFC commentator Joe Rogan has recently revealed that he wanted to leave the United States and wanted to live in Canada instead.

It is worth noting that it is the same Joe Rogan who had a beef with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. So what made him change his mind about the country? Well, on Joe Rogan Experience Episode #2214, Joe Rogan sat down with journalist, executive, and co-founder of VICE Media Shane Smith and discussed the happenings around the world. It was during this conversation that Joe Rogan revealed he wanted to move to Canada. According to the JRE host, he loved doing gigs in the country and felt that moving to Vancouver was the right move to make. Rogan further added that he believes Canada has a lesser number of ‘d**chebags’ in their country than America.

Rogan thus divulged, “I used to want to live in Canada. I used to love Canada. I thought about living in Vancouver. I was like, I could live in Vancouver.” Rogan added, “They’re amazing, amazing. I always feel like Canada has 20% less douchebags. That was my feeling when I used to do shows up there. We’d do a gig in Toronto, we’d do a gig in Montreal, and we’d all talk about it. Canada is the best. I love it up there. I love the people—they’re friendly, hardworking, peaceful, smart, and educated. It was always fun. I just loved the attitude of the place. I’ve met so many cool people in Canada.”

So why did Rogan not decide to move to the country? Well, it’s because of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. A few months ago, Rogan revealed his true thoughts on the 52-year-old and claimed that he won’t even visit the country, let alone live. But what actually happened? Let’s find out.

Joe Rogan’s reason behind quitting plans to move to Canada

On his July 19 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan sat down with fellow comedian Sam Morril as the guest talked about “whiners” in the US who believe that it would be a better idea to move to Canada because of their free speech laws. However, Rogan claimed that Canada is even worse because of their ‘ridiculous’ free speech laws and that he won’t be visiting Canada until Trudeau is no longer the prime minister.

He said, “They can come down on you for a lot of things… The people that were donating to the truckers, they seized their bank accounts. That’s not a good place—it’s not a good place under this administration, at least. They went sideways.” Rogan further added, “Get rid of that guy, I’ll come back. I just don’t trust any of it up there.” The UFC commentator claimed that the country was much different and better about 10 years ago, back when he loved visiting Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver.

It seems like Rogan surely has some firm opinions on the new side of the country as well as its leadership. So maybe he might actually make the move whenever Trudeau leaves the office. But that’s something that only time will tell. What do you think? Do you agree with Joe Rogan’s opinions, or are you still a fan of the country? Let us know in the comments.
