During the interview, Kattar stated, “Yeah, locally, I fought some kid from New York and they want to do the whole Boston, New York thing because it’s real back home. I don’t know if you know about it but yeah, so the promoter was just kind of hyping it up; they called me the Boston finisher and it stopped for a while and been on its way out the door if I hadn’t gotten finished in Boston. So my manager said he said about getting finished with me, they’re going to come to the Boston decision later. So I had some, some wins. And now here we are most finishes in the Featherweight division.”

Despite Kattar’s impressive resume, his opponent for UFC 300 seems to believe that he has what it takes to get the job done. Aljamain Sterling took to his YouTube video to explain why he believed that he would finish the UFC featherweight in the second round of their fight.  Given that the 36-year-old is on a two-fight losing streak, the former UFC bantamweight champ seems to believe he can extend it to 3 after UFC 300.

However, Kattar’s response seemed too calm for comfort. During an exclusive interview with Sports Now, Calvin Kattar responded to the prediction, saying, “Good Luck. I focus on myself and I’m getting ready for the moment. But if he thinks he can finish me in the second round, I think he’ll get surprised. I’m looking forward to going out there and proving him wrong.”
