The buildup for UFC 293 has started, and it shaping up exactly like fans expected. Middleweight champ Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland are exchanging verbal jibes with full force, with UFC 293 just weeks ahead. From the initial stages, Strickland has been taking shots at Adesanya’s past in China.

Responding to it, Adesanya recently posted a humorous video on ‘X’. In the video, the middleweight champ can be seen sitting with a Chinese individual and predicting to finish Strickland by KO. Now, ‘Tarzan’ came back with a response in his signature style.

Recently, Strickland appeared in an interview with Helen Yee Sports, where he discussed his UFC 293 title fight. Responding to Adesanya’s remarks, Strickland made some bold statements. This time, ‘Tarzan’ backtracked his earlier statements and concluded that Adesanya is indeed not Chinese.

“I always call him the Chinese champion, right? And I don’t think that’s not accurate. I’ll tell you why. Because Izzy’s words himself, he only did it for money,” he said. However, the controversial UFC star came up with an even more humiliating name for the UFC champ.

“So is it more of Chinese champion or Chinese sl*t. What would you call me that if I were to go if I were to go raise a Chinese flag like years back and then you ask me about supporting your motherland?” Strickland said. “And then I say, ‘Helen I just did it because they paid me’. What would you call me? You’d call me a sl*t,” he added.

When Israel Adesanya called Sean Strickland out for trolling a UFC champ

The co-main event of UFC 292 saw UFC women’s strawweight champion Zhang Weili successfully defend her title. Shortly before the PPV, Strickland dismissed the idea of Weili being the first UFC Chinese champion, humorously giving that title to Adesanya.

However, ‘Stylebender’ did not like Strickland’s comments, and called him out for allegedly disrespecting Weili. “Like Sean calling me the first Chinese champion, it’s kind of disrespecting her because she actually is the first Chinese champion legitimately. So you can’t make a mockery of that,” he said.
