With each passing day, the Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg fight gets more and more input from the combat sports community. Ever since the two tech billionaires agreed to an MMA fight, several reputed fighters have come forward, offering their services to train them. UFC President Dana White is even willing to set this up and stated both Musk and Zuckerberg were “dead serious” about it.
However, there are also those that do not see the appeal of a billionaire vs. billionaire cage match. Recently, BJJ phenom Gordon Ryan accused the fighters, who offered to help train the billionaires, of being attention seekers.
Now, Joe Rogan‘s close friend and fellow podcaster Lex Fridman also seems to agree that they are better off not fighting. What is surprising is that Fridman recently trained with both Musk and Zuckerberg and expressed admiration for their Jiu-Jitsu skills. Nevertheless, the 39-year-old AI researcher is not as keen on Musk vs. Zuckerberg as one would expect him to be.

In a recent tweet, Lex Fridman revealed he trained with Elon Musk. The 39-year-old AI researcher had nothing but good things to say about the Tesla CEO’s grappling skills. However, he made an interesting comment about the proposed bout between the two tech moguls. In his tweet, Fridman wrote, “I did an impromptu training session with @elonmusk for a few hours yesterday. I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, on the feet and on the ground. It was epic.”

The MIT research scientist continued, “It’s really inspiring to see Elon and Mark doing martial arts, but I think the world is served far better if they train martial arts but not fight in the cage.”
Fridman is a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and one of the more frequent guests on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience.’ He shares Rogan’s love for all things martial arts and the two have conversations at length about the same. The harmless banter between Zuckerberg and Musk on Twitter has been a point of raging discussion in the MMA community. Several people have commented on the debate and Fridman’s tweet adds a unique angle to it.
