According to White, a second bout between the two is inevitable. However, he does not think an immediate rematch is on the cards. The fans did not welcome his statement and criticized him for it.

Here are a few fan reactions:

One fan drew a comparison and wondered how Conor McGregor could get a title shot if he beats Michael Chandler in the former’s return bout but Strickland is not in the title conversation. It is also important to note that White has not promised McGregor a title shot but many believe that will be the case since the Irishman would enter the top 5 rankings at 155 lbs if he beats Chandler.

Meanwhile, one fan insinuated that White is happy with how the fight went and does not want the outcomes to be altered in the rematch.

Along similar lines, one fan asserted the CEO of the company is not fond of Strickland.

Another fan did not welcome these comments made by White.

Last but not least, one fan found inconsistency in White’s claims.

It appears that the fans want to see a rematch between Strickland and the current champion. However, the ball is in White’s court, and he does not see it happening. But at the same time, White felt Strickland was the decisive winner. For all we know, Strickland is now defeated and he is not too pleased with it.
