While appearing on Jake Shields’s YouTube podcast, former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley brought up the issue about the older Diaz brother, and in response, the host claimed that they’re aware of all the noise in the media and among fans. He didn’t mention anything in detail about the incident out of respect for the Stockton native, having been friends for decades, but he did assure us that they’re trying to help Diaz get better.

“We’re working on that. So that’s something I’m not going to talk about,” Jake Shields stated. “He’s a brother to me and it’s something we’re working on. So I prefer not to discuss Nick’s private life.”

Jake Shields may have decided to respect his relationship with Nick Diaz and keep things private. However, that isn’t the case with the Stockton native’s girlfriend, Kay, as she was public about it on her social media handles. However, another one of the UFC veteran’s friends lashed out at her in a YouTube video for making the 41-year-old look like a “fool.”

“What really made me put out this video that this, whatever you want to call her [Diaz’s girlfriend] put out of him lighting whatever on fire and it infuriated me. I texted her, said, ‘Did you f***ing put this out there?’ She said, ‘Yes.’ Why would you do that? There’s only one motive you would do something like and that’s just to humiliate and make somebody look like a f***ing fool,” claimed Diaz’s confidante.
