“Brother Stop! It’s Haram!”: Fans Concerned for Khabib Nurmagomedov After Suspecting “Gambling” Involvement

Khabib Nurmagomedov is known for his discipline and work ethic. The undefeated champion spent a lot of time in the UFC but kept himself away from any kind of betting sponsorships. Although the UFC works with sponsors like Draft Kings, Nurmagomedov has been very clear about his preferences and stayed away from betting sponsors. The reason behind the distance he keeps from betting is very religious. Islam followers are prohibited from involving in any gambling. Gambling of any kind is forbidden.

In a recent Twitter post, Khabib Nurmagomedov shared an opportunity with his fans to meet him and join a closed crypto community that works with NFTs. The collaboration didn’t make fans happy. Fans wanted the former lightweight fighter to stay away from the Crypto world and called the business ‘haram‘ comparing it to gambling.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fans were not at all happy with their favorite star’s involvement with the crypto world. A fan suggested that the Dagestani should stick to community help and not get tangled in the crypto world.

Khabib Nurmagomedov had a great MMA career. He retired with 29 wins, without a single loss. His conduct outside the cage has also been appreciated by fans and experts. In the past, he had made it very clear that he would not associate with any betting sponsors as he felt it ruined families. However, many people are of the opinion that his latest tweet is not in line with his old stance.

If Nurmagomedov pays any heed to what his fans expect from him or not remains to be seen. The crypto world has had a bumpy ride in the past year or so.
