A flyweight matchup between Andrea Lee and Jessica Eye is in the works for UFC Fight Night on November 13th. An exciting matchup, both flyweights will come into this fight looking to make a statement in a division over which Valentina Shevchenko reigns supreme.
Former LFA flyweight champion, Andrea Lee is coming off a second-round submission victory over Antonina Shevchenko. On the other hand, Jessica Eye is on a three-fight losing streak, all unanimous decisions against Jennifer Maia, Joanne Calderwood, and Cynthia Calvillo.
35-year-old Jessica Eye very well may be fighting to keep her spot on the roster, especially considering how the UFC has been releasing fighters ever since the pandemic. Following a brutal knockout loss against Valentina Shevchenko, Eye has been trying to work her way back to another title shot, to no avail.

Considering both of their striking backgrounds, one can expect the matchup to be a standup festival. A former amateur boxer and kickboxing champion, Andrea has an astonishing striking accuracy of 50 percent. This will certainly be a problem for Eye, who absorbs an alarming 4.19 strikes per minute.
Nevertheless, Jessica Eye has proven to be a frustrating striker as well, often walking opponents down with little regard, while displaying her ferocious hand speed in the midrange.
Undoubtedly, this will be an important fight for the division. The winner of this matchup could be looking to receive a top-five opponent next. Which would further making things interesting in an already stacked women’s flyweight division
