UFC superstar Conor McGregor will debut soon in Hollywood. The Irish superstar will star alongside 41-year-old, Jake Gyllenhaal. McGregor’s Hollywood journey will kick off with the 80s classic movie remake, Road House. The 34-year-old is already popular in showbiz. Thus, the movie will give it a boost.

‘The Notorious’ is the highest-paid UFC athlete. He has changed the course of how much money an MMA fighter can make. The trailblazer superstar was always in the mind of the Hollywood biggies. And finally, McGregor has agreed to do one.

The Deadline posted on their Twitter handle and wrote, “EXCLUSIVE: In what would mark his first acting job in a major studio movie, two-time UFC champion Conor McGregor is set to join Jake Gyllenhaal in Prime Video’s new reimagining of the classic ’80s action pic”

McGregor’s spokesperson, Karen Kessler, gave a statement as well, “Conor McGregor is very excited to expand his storied career to Hollywood and join with Jake Gyllenhaal in this reimagining of “Road House”, a beloved classic. While fighting remains his top focus, this is the beginning of another successful venture in the McGregor empire. He is eager to get started filming.”

The movie will go into production this month in the Dominican Republic. The release of the Amazon Original is not decided yet. Reports reveal McGregor liked the idea of the remake and the changes it will have.

Is Conor McGregor playing himself in the Jake Gyllenhaal movie?

Even though there is a McGregor documentary – Conor McGregor: Notorious, it wasn’t an acting role. However, for this Prime Video adventure, the sources have confirmed that McGregor will not play himself in the movie.
