Ode Osbourne fired off the back-and-forth by stating “Who has he fought though? If you look at my resume, I’ve fought almost everybody in the flyweight division. I respect the Mexican people and Mexican Independence, viva Mexico, but I’m from Jamaica, every Ode Osbourne fight that y’all see is an exciting fight, tune in, I guarantee it, tune in Saturday night, I’m coming to show out and I’m coming to put him to sleep. Good night.”

Osbourne’s confidence was oozing, almost daring Rodriguez to come at him. But Rodriguez wasn’t about to back down. He might be known as ‘Lazy Boy’ but there was nothing ‘lazy’ about his response as an incensed Rodriguez said, “What’s gonna happen is I’m gonna break your face. ”

Bold, right? You could almost feel the air thicken as the two exchanged heated words. The crowd, no doubt, felt the simmering intensity too. So, what’s fueling this beef? Osbourne further stated that, “We’ll see… keep that same energy… I hope you bring that same energy…Who’ve you fought… Dude, your record… You lost to a dude I knocked out in 30 seconds, sit down. Who’ve you fought, get past me, I’m the real test.”

Rodriguez quickly fired back, reminding Osbourne that this card is as much his moment as anyone’s. “You’re on this card because of me, shut the f**k up, shut the f**k up. ” Rodriguez shot back. He didn’t stop there, adding another jab by stating, “…save that check, it’s the last one you’re gonna get. After this fight they’re gonna take you out of here. ”

The back-and-forth felt like watching two bulls about to charge, with Dana White caught in the middle, trying to play the role of referee before any fists could fly. This fight has all the ingredients of a classic. And for Ronaldo Rodriguez, ‘The Sphere’ is his golden opportunity to make his mark in the promotion!
