“What an Insult to Ali” – ‘Lunatic’ Conor McGregor Gets Hammered by Fans for Muhammad Ali Comparison

It is a common practice for the stars of the current era to be compared with the legends of the past. In a similar incident, the Irish news organization Belfast Live Sport drew a comparison between Conor McGregor and Muhammad Ali. However, fans weren’t happy with the comparison. In addition, the post said ‘The Irish Muhammad Ali’, and fans weren’t letting it slide away easily. They were seen sharing their honest opinion regarding the comparison via comments on the post.

The Irishman is the first UFC fighter to lay his hand on two divisions at the same time. Moreover, earlier during his career, he took the entire division by storm with his cocky pre-fight predictions and his performance inside the octagon. His movements made him float like a butterfly, and his powerful punches were known to sting like a bee. However, ‘Notorious‘ has stained his legacies due to controversies.

The boxing legend, on the other hand, has done a lot for society outside the ring for him to achieve his legendary status. In contrast, Muhammad Ali is famous for his charitable work and social activism. He was using his platform to speak out against injustice and discrimination. He was a role model and an inspiration to many, and his legacy as a sports legend and cultural icon remains untarnished.

In addition, this fan did not want them to be put in the same sentence. They said: “Don’t put him and Muhammad Ali in the same sentence ffs.”

One fan said that Jesus was weeping due to the comparison. They said: “Oh my god who put him and Muhammad Ali name in same sentence what an insult to Ali. Jesus wept!!”
