UFC Noche quickly became a really controversial main event for the promotion. The fight between Valentina Shevchenko and Alexa Grasso being declared a draw was something that the fans just couldn’t comprehend. The UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby also seemed taken aback by the results when it was told to him in the ring before being announced. However, UFC lightweight fighter Charlie Campbell’s post-win, in-ring interview did lighten the situation a little.

Campbell’s monicker is ‘The Cannibal’ and people have often wondered why he is referred to as that. Now, it seems Campbell has something in mind –  a way to justify the name that he is often called and it is in relation to former boxing champ and legend Mike Tyson. He sure is drawing a lot of attention to himself lately. First Dwayne Johnson and now Mike Tyson?

On The MMA Hour, Campbell said, “I might have to [Mike] Tyson somebody just to really slice it up.“. While there are a number of things he could have meant, one can assume that what the UFC lightweight fighter was referencing, was the incident where Tyson bit off the ear of his then-rival and boxing legend, Evander Holyfield, in a boxing bout.

As Cormier was about to answer, Campbell, in classic ‘The Rock’ style, said, “It doesn’t matter what you think“, taking the former UFC champ by surprise. He then proceeded to say, “Shout out to Dwayne Johnson, ‘The Rock’. I’m a huge fan. Put me in a movie or something.“.
