Joe Rogan recently completed a show for his stand-up tour in Columbus where the crowd even got to see a surprise performance by comedy legend Dave Chappelle. . The show was widely considered to be a success.
While Rogan was the main traction, fellow comedians Tony Hinchcliffe and Hans Kim also joined him. The podcaster took to his Instagram to share backstage pictures from the show. He thanked the crowd as well as the three comics who performed and elevated the show to another level.

Furthermore, fans were in for a treat as the trio reunited at the studio of the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. They sat for some fun conversation that related to the recent show, comedy, and of course, fighting.
Joe Rogan thinks Floyd Mayweather is a ‘genius’
While the conversation was going on, Hinchcliffe brought up the topic of boxing. He stated that boxing does not have the likes of Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson anymore to deliver devastating knockout blows. Thus boxing should have a KO bonus so fans get to see more action.

He also added that having exciting fights and knockouts would lead to the public buying more PPVs. Joe Rogan, while agreeing with the fellow comedian said, “People buy pay per views for Floyd and it’s mostly because they want him to lose.”
Rogan broke into laughter on his own statement and further added, “Which is genius. He’s a genius. I mean all these guys that everybody hates, whether it’s Colby Covington or Floyd Mayweather or Conor McGregor those are the guys that sell tickets.”
Floyd Mayweather and insane PPV numbers
The UFC commentator appreciated Floyd’s strategy of selling PPVs. He said, “It’s such a good strategy. Get people mad at you.” Hinchcliffe supported Rogan’s statement and said, “so many people spend their time trying to be the good guy but you need the bad guys.”

It is hard to deny what Rogan said, considering the numbers the likes of Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather generate. Conor McGregor alone has sold a total of 13.4 million PPV in the UFC, which is the highest in the company.

Meanwhile, Mayweather has sold almost 25 million PPVs which have generated a revenue of more than a billion dollars. The boxing fight between McGregor and Mayweather alone did close to 4.3 million in PPV buys, marking it as one of the most successful box office events in combat sports history.
