Father Anderson Silva Leaves a Very Personal Message to Son Kalyl Silva After Successful Boxing Debut

Anderson Silva has risen to the level of a legend. Although his injury put him down several feet, he is still considered one of the greatest fighters in MMA. However, recent news revealed that his son, Kalyl Silva, planned to follow in the footsteps of the ‘Spider’. Although he hailed from a different background, his jump toward combat sports is not undeniable. Kalyl Silva was previously a star football player. However, his recent ventures into combat sports might be where he could make a name for himself.

The young fighter previously rose victorious in his debut kickboxing bout. Furthermore, he debuted in a professional boxing bout. Without a doubt, the young Silva rose victorious by knocking out his opponent in the fourth round. However, that wasn’t all. Post-fight, his father, Anderson Silva, penned down a heartfelt note for the young star.

Anderson Silva leaves a message for his son

The world of combat sports rose in applause with a new star in the sport. Anderson Silva’s son, Kalyl Silva, recently rose victorious in his debut boxing match in Brazil. He knocked his opponent out cold in the fourth round. Although the fight wasn’t dominated by either one, Paulo dos Santos could not handle Silva’s mean right hook and faced the canvas in moments. Silva was declared the victor as Santos failed to defeat the referee’s count. 

The fighter was undoubtedly one of the happiest souls on planet Earth. To share his joy, he took to Instagram and shared the moments. He wrote in the caption, “Pro debut started off with a bang! Fourth round knockout. Thank you to everyone that’s part of this journey with me. Forever thankful. On to the next.”

Furthermore, Anderson Silva seemed to be overjoyed with his son’s victory. The two of them bowed to each other on the canvas. However, it was on Instagram that he devoted a personalized message to his son. On the Instagram post, he commented, “Congratulations champion pride. Strength and honor always.”

Young Silva might soon land in MMA

Although the boxing debut made the world cheer for him, it wasn’t Silva’s first fight or win. Before professional boxing, Silva made his skills known to the world in a previous kickboxing bout against Anthony Reynaga. The former UFC middleweight champion’s son concluded his kickboxing debut in 8 simple seconds. 

Kalyl Silva threw a head kick that put down Reynaga for good. Immediately, the referee waved off the fight, thereby giving Silva the crown of his victory. However, combat sports weren’t the only things where the youngster excelled at.

Son of the ‘Spider’ previously played for the LA10 football team as a forward. However, he decided to quit his career in football and followed in his father’s footsteps. Without a doubt, he began doing a pretty great job at it. The young fighter even declared that he was eying to enter MMA. in an interview with MMA Fighting, he said, “I probably have plans for MMA in the future but right now, I don’t want to think long term, I want to think about what’s going on right now. I’m focused on kickboxing, and we’ll see what happens.”
