Greg Hardy has worn many hats in the sports domain. He is a former Carolina Panthers defensive end and a former UFC fighter who is currently pursuing boxing. Hardy is all set to face Hasim Rahman Jr. at Misfits Boxing 3.

Both boxers showed up for the weigh-in, however, it turned out that Hardy was significantly heavier than Rahman Jr. This caught the attention of the fans on Reddit, who then began bashing Hardy over his weight.

Greg Hardy surpasses Hasim Rahman Jr during the weigh-in

As the weigh-ins were done, the results showed that Greg Hardy (320lb) was 94lb heavier than his opponent Hasim Rahman Jr. (226 lb). He is also 6 inches taller than Rahman Jr. But the fact remains that there is a substantial difference between the two. And Reddit users who addressed the case roundly lambasted Greg Hardy.

Here is what fans said on Reddit:

“Greg Hardy will be outweighing Hasim by 94lbs (2.5x Hasbullas)”

A fan seemed to be in disbelief of the fight getting approved: “Hasim Rahman jr weighed in at 226. Greg Hardy weighed in at 320. Mad how this even got approved.”

“Next weeks news after losing, “ex-NFL star, ufc fighter, boxer signs with XFL as defensive tackle”.”

This will be Hardy’s second boxing match after exiting the UFC. He fought Michael Cook in his debut match and won the bout with a second-round KO. However, his opponent, Hasim Rahman Jr. is relatively more experienced.

Rahman Jr. holds a record of 12-1-0 in his professional boxing career. Made his debut in 2017 against Ralph Alexander and won by a TKO. He was supposed to box Jake Paul, but the bout got canceled at the last moment. And now he will face Greg Hardy in the heavyweight category.
