Fans will never get a full idea of the emotional states fighters go through in the intense environment inside the octagon with a roaring audience and another fighter trying their best to knock you out. And the UFC series of video games by EA Sports is the best option they have.

And the next installment in the series, UFC 5, is expected to be released on October 27. According to reports, the game promises some big upgrades over the previous installments in the franchise. And some former and current UFC fighters have reacted to a preview of the gameplay.

UFC fighters react to UFC 5 preview

In an attempt to build up fan excitement for the upcoming UFC 5, EA Sports UFC division posted a clip of various fighters, including former two-divisions UFC champion Daniel Cormier, welterweight Michael Chandler, and Palestinian welterweight Belal Muhammad reacting to a preview of the game.

Cormier was amazed to witness the realism and graphics of the game.  He had nothing but praise for the game. “Holy shi*. Y’all actually got ****. That’s f***ing sick. Dude this don’t look like a video game anymore. Oh my god!” he said.

Muhammad was also impressed with the game and complimented the inclusion of even more celebrations. “Bro! That was dope. Man that freaking bow and arrow thing was hot,” the Palestinian said.

Chandler, too heaped praises on the game. “Just pick him up and boom. Oh no. The rivalries man! The rivalries. That was nuts. Can I watch it again?” he exclaimed.

UFC 5 is set for a late October release

Leaked screenshots of EA Sports’ UFC 5’s gameplay show much improved graphics over the previous installment as well as many crucial changes in the gameplay. The submission mechanic, for example, is getting a revamp with a focus on transitions. The game also promises to be more realistic, with eight parts of a fighter’s face able to take damage, and the introduction of a doctor’s stoppage in case of a very serious cut.

Other changes may include a new knockout replay system as well as the addition of an online career mode. Pre-order bonuses will feature Fedor EmilianenkoMike Tysonand Muhammad Ali. Fans are hoping that Bruce Lee, a playable character in UFC 4 continues to feature in the upcoming installment as well. What do you think about the fighters’ reactions to the game?
