Bo Nickal is all set to fight his 6th ever MMA bout and it’s going to be a big one. After finishing his last opponent, Val Woodburn via a first-round knockout, Nickal is now ready to fight at one of the most ambitious pay-per-views the promotion has ever seen.

Now, his next opponent will be Cody Brundage at UFC 300. Brundage currently stands at a record of 10-5 and clearly has more experience than Nickal when it comes to MMA. So, will Nickal’s walkout song hype him up enough to see the fight through?

His last fight was back at UFC 290 when he defeated Woodburn. For his walkout, Nickal chose famous artist Jon Bellion who often produces amazing electric music. The song Nickal walked out to was called ‘Hand of God’.

The whole album came out back in 2016 and was called ‘The Human Condition’. Other songs from the album included like ‘Maybe IDK’ and ‘The Good in Me’. After winning the fight, Nickal posted a video showing his growth as a striker in the UFC.

This is an important development for him since he has only fought five professional MMA bouts. Before all of that, he was a consummate wrestler who dominated the NCAA. Now, after cleaning up the slate and maintaining the unbeaten record, will he be able to keep things up straight? His coach believes he’s on the right path.

“He literally has three minutes of professional fighting experience. I think he’s had five fights [total], they’ve all been pretty quick if you count his amateur career . . .Of course he has the ability to be a UFC champion and that’s the direction he’s headed. That’s where we’re going. He has everything he needs to make that happen and I think he’s on that path.” Clearly, his coach is backing him up to go above and beyond UFC 300. In the meantime, let’s look at his walkout song for his debut PPV match.

Bo Nickal seems to be one of those fighters who stick with their one song without really messing with it too much. So of course, once again, his walkout song for his UFC PPV debut at UFC 285 was ‘Hand of God’ by Jon Bellion. With this, it’s perhaps easy to assume that his song at UFC 300 would be the same.

The question is, will his manner of victory be the same too? He won his last fight via knockout but he may have to use his extensive wrestling resume to outdo his next opponent. In such a situation against an experienced fighter, will Nickal have the upper hand?

The 28-year-old debuted to much hype and fanfare but has since gained some flak from the community for bold takes and call-outs. There was also widespread backlash for his third straight PPV main card appearance for UFC 300, when even more experienced fighters, including former champions and title challengers, were fighting on the prelims and early prelims.
