The proposed MMA fight between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg seems to be getting serious with each passing day. Ever since the tech billionaires announced their willingness to step foot in a cage, high-profile MMA figures have come out in their support. While UFC president Dana White is interested to set up the fight and promote the event, several former and current UFC stars have offered to train the tech moguls.

One of them was former UFC champion Georges St-Pierre. The Canadian MMA icon had tweeted his willingness to help Elon Musk prepare for the fight, adding he was a huge fan of the Tesla CEO. Now, Musk has responded to GSP and hinted he may have already started training for ‘Zuck.’

Shortly after the Musk vs. Zuckerberg talks picked up traction, Georges St-Pierre tweeted his interest in training Musk. “@elonmusk I’m a huge fan of yours and it would be an absolute honor to help you and be your training partner for the challenge against Zuckerberg.” wrote St-Pierre.

Now, Musk has responded to ‘Rush’ and given an update on his recent training session. In a response to GSP’s tweet, the 51-year-old wrote, “Ok, let’s do it,” with two fire emojis. In a separate tweet, Musk said, “Did a practice round tonight with @lexfridman.”

Interestingly, Zuckerberg had also trained with Lex Fridman recently. The AI researcher, who is a good friend of Joe Rogan’s, is a frequent JRE guest and a Jiu-Jitsu black belt.

While people like Fridman and GSP are eager to help the billionaires, GSP’s friend and John Danaher’s student Gordon Ryan did not jump on the hype train.

Both Gordon Ryan and GSP are two of John Danaher’s best students. However, Ryan does not approve of GSP and the others stepping up to train the Meta and Twitter owners. In an Instagram story, he wrote, “All these people posting online about how they’ll train zuck or Elon are just looking for attention.”

Meanwhile, Ryan’s comments may be falling on deaf ears. There has been no shortage of fighters offering to train the tech giants. Charles Oliveira, Jon Jones, Jorge Masvidal, and other fan favorites have also offered their services to the CEOs.

What do you think about Musk vs. ‘Zuck’? Will they fight? Who do you think will they choose to train under? Are there any partnerships you would like to see?
