The Irishman Conor McGregor is the face of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. Not only is he one of the most famous athletes in the world, but he is also among the richest. And that is something that has left many mind-boggled.

Now, in a recent conversation, the Irishman’s personal bodyguards have revealed the most important factor that has played the biggest role in getting him to a ‘billionaire’ status, according to them.

Mitchell Atkinson and Ryan Barby, who have been bodyguards to Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, even US president Joe Biden along with Conor McGregor, revealed the secret to McGregor’s solid résumé.

“What you see in the media isn’t necessarily how they are as a person,” the bodyguard said. “I always said, ‘Conor, he’s a great actor. Do you know what I mean?”

“The man… There’s no doubt about it, he’s an absolute genius but the Notorious MMA [persona] is very much a character who he plays a lot of the time. He’s a much quieter and he’s, yeah, he’s very quiet and he’s got a personality like an artist where he kind of wears his heart on his sleeve… he’s a phenomenal actor and he’s a genius, you know, notorious MMA is a character who he plays that made him a billionaire within a matter of years,” he continued.

This actually does make sense, keeping in mind that fans love the Irishman’s ‘Notorious’ persona and his trash-talking skills more than anything.

Conor McGregor wants to buy Chelsea

Conor McGregor recently made headlines when he tweeted he wanted to buy Chelsea FC. The Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich put the legendary football club on sale amidst the recent Russia- Ukraine conflict.

Abramovich, who has been at the helm of the championship-winning club, decided to step back and sell the club despite its recent achievements. Irish UFC sensation Conor McGregor leaped on to the opportunity and publically announced that he wants to bid for the club. He said: “I wish to explore this.
@ChelseaFC,” in a tweet.
