Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal are going at it again. The bad blood between the pair and their history is no secret. However, their rivalry has been reinvigorated following some recent events.

Covington recently stirred up the hornets’ nest with his comments on Jon Anik. The former title challenger went after Anik, with death threats, for supposedly colluding with Belal Muhammad against Covington getting a title shot. Several fighters, including Masvidal, reacted to these comments.

Furthermore, ‘Gamebred’, recently appeared on the JRE MMA Show and had a chat with Joe Rogan. During their conversation, the 38-year-old revealed his intentions to have another go at Covington in the octagon. Not one to mince words, Masvidal said, “I didn’t get him that time (at UFC 272), but I promise you: Before my career is over I’m going to f***ing murder Colby in the cage. Legally… In the cage, in the UFC, I’m gonna f***ing snatch his soul one way or another.”

Colby Covington responds to Jorge Masvidal

In a recent interview, Colby Covington addressed Jorge Masvidal’s comment from the recent JRE MMA Show episode. ‘Chaos’ fired back at Masvidal with strong words of his own. He dismissed Masvidal’s claims, referring back to their UFC 272 bout.

The 35-year-old said, “I mean dude, does anybody believe anything that guy says anymore? He’s freaking delusional dude.” Covington continued, “He got beat up and smacked around his whole entire life by me. He knows I’m big brother. There’s nothing he can do. I gave him the 50-44 and the soda. I sent home down to the prelims.”

‘Chaos’ further added, “So it’s pretty ironic that Leon Scott wants to fight him but it’s okay Leon. I can take the belt, beat your a**, you can go fight, you know, ‘Street Judas’ Masvidal on the prelim. Don’t worry. You guys belong for each other… He’s a broken man…That guy is completely broken.”
