Which UFC Paris walkout song got you the most hyped? Moicano's or Saint-Denis's?

The UFC returns to Paris with a stacked card full of intriguing matchups for UFC Fight Night 243! The promotion’s third trip to ‘The City of Light’ will be held at the Accor Arena. In fact, it was only in 2020 that MMA was legalized in the country and the first ever UFC event following the landmark ruling was held in September 2022. With the upcoming event set to deliver electrifying action, let’s not forget the music that fuels the adrenaline before fighters even step into the Octagon.

Walkout songs are an essential part of the fight night atmosphere, setting the tone for each fighter’s entrance and hyping up the crowd. What beats will Renato Moicano and Benoit Saint Denis choose to energize their lightweight showdown? And how will Nassourdine Imavov and Brendan Allen set the stage for their middleweight clash? Let’s dive into the best walkout songs from UFC Paris and see what music fuels these warriors!

What are Renato Moicano and Benoit Saint Denis’s walk-out songs at UFC Paris?

Ahead of his clash against the rising French MMA star Benoit Saint-Denis, Renato Moicano told UFC.com, “He’s good, but I’m better.” The Brazilian has been on a tear in the lightweight division recently, riding high on a 3-fight win streak over names like Brad Riddell, Drew Dober, and Jalin Turner. He last stepped into the cage at UFC 300 where he secured a massive TKO victory over Turner in the second round after dealing with a few tough spots in the fight.

But what will be the tune he uses to walk out in front of the crowd at the Accor Arena? For UFC 300, Moicano walked out the song ‘Isacc’ by Edson Gomes. A reggae tune, it was released in 1995 and has been a feature of the Brazilian’s walk-out since UFC 271.

On the other side of the Octagon will be Benoit Saint-Denis. The no. 12 ranked lightweight is aiming to bounce back from his knockout loss at the hands of Dustin Poirier at UFC 299 earlier this year. Before running into the ‘Diamond’, Saint-Denis had been on a 5-fight winning streak. A win over Moicano will put him back in the running for a chance to establish himself as a contender amongst the elite of the 155 lbs. division.

What’s your perspective on:

Which UFC Paris walkout song got you the most hyped? Moicano's or Saint-Denis's?

Have an interesting take?

His choice of music? An intriguing mashup of ‘Seine Saint-Denis Style’ by Supreme NTM and ‘Le Chant des Commandos’. Before starting his MMA journey, ‘God of War’ was a distinguished member of the 1st Marine Infantry Paratroopers Regiment. His choice of music is a nod to his past and the journey he has taken to get to the bright lights of the UFC’s Octagon!

Walk-out songs for Nassourdine Imavov and Brendan Allen for UFC Fight Night 243

In the co-main event, middleweights Nassourdine Imavov and Brendan Allen are vying to put their names in the hat for the 185 lbs. title. Imavov recently confessed to UFC.com, “This is my third fight in seven months in the Top 10, I don’t know if someone achieved that before. I think that getting this win would put me as a serious contender for the belt.”

Imavov is currently ranked no. 4 in the division and has been racking up wins over names like Roman Dolidze, Joaquin Buckley, and most recently, Jared Cannonier. For his previous fights, Imavov has chosen to make the walk to the cage as ‘Tomorrow (Sadio)’ by Salif Keita washes over the crowd at the venue. The song was also a part of the 2001 biographical film, ‘Ali’, based on the life of legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali, played by Will Smith.

But standing in Imavov’s way is Brendan Allen. Holding the no.8 spot in the division, a win here could help ‘All In’ break into the top-5 of the division. He’s currently on a 7-fight win streak and hasn’t been defeated since 2022. In a recent statement made to UFC.com, he proclaimed, “I’m going to beat him (Imavov) in his hometown. I’m going to beat him in front of his people, and I’m going to do it very convincingly.”

The song he chooses to walk out to accomplish this mission? In the past, Allen has walked out to ‘Fireman’ by Lil Wayne, so we might get to hear ‘Weezy’  echo through the Accor Arena this time around as well! Now, let’s shift our focus to some of the other tunes that will rock Paris as the fighters head to the Octagon.

Other fighter walkout songs at UFC Paris

William Gomis and Joanderson Brito are also going to clash at UFC Paris in a featherweight showdown. The Frenchman, Gomis, has used the song ‘0 to 100/The Catch Up’ by Drake during his UFC entrances so far, and is currently 3-0 in the promotion, putting to rest the concerns of ‘The Drake Curse’ popping up due to his choice of music! Meanwhile, Brito has only lost 1 fight in the UFC as of now, and for his last outing against Jack Shore, he chose to walk out to ‘Tubaro Te Amo’ by  Ryan SP, MC Daniel, MC RF, MC Jhenny e Tchakabum.

A welterweight bout between rising star Bryan Battle and French fighter, Kevin Jousset is also on the card. With a UFC record of 5-1, Battle chose ‘Man of the Year’ by Schoolboy Q for his last Octagon outing and may stick with the choice this time around. However, his opponent Jousset had an interesting pick for his last fight. His choice of walk-out music, ‘The Sound of Silence’ by Simon & Garfunkel!

Another pair of featherweights, Morgan Charriere and Gabriel Miranda are also featured in this event. Charriere has used the song, ‘Dolce Camara’ by Booba feat.SDM in the past as well as ‘I’m Not Afraid’ by Eminem.  Miranda on the other hand has a preference for ‘O Som Que Desperta’ by Fred Arrais!

To wrap things up, from Renato Moicano’s reggae vibes to Benoit Saint Denis’ military homage, the fighters’ music choices are as diverse as their fighting styles. With such a stacked card, UFC Paris promises not just fights but a symphony of emotions, both inside and outside the Octagon.
