Can Brandon Moreno break his losing streak with the power of 'El Corrido Del Bebe Asesino'?

UFC Fight Night 246 has the fighting community excited with the MMA promotion’s return to Edmonton for its first Fight Night event since 2019. Even the UFC head honcho, Dana White, expressed his excitement when he said, “I’m so excited to return to Edmonton.” Needless to say, the event promises an experience that the fight fans would seldom forget.

And the experience would begin with the fighters’ entry with their walkout songs blaring out of the speakers. Today, let’s take a quick dive and see what songs will the UFC Edmonton contenders walk out to.

For the main event of the Fight Night, Brandon Moreno would go up against Amir Albazi. Both fighters will try their best to rise victorious with a title shot within view. Moreno, who lost his last two consecutive fights against Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Rovyal, has healed up his body and mind. Now, it’s time for ‘The Assassin Baby’ to overturn his 2-fight losing streak. But first, he would have to make an impression on his opponent with a cool and intimidating walkout song. That’s the reason why he’d most likely walk out to ‘El Corrido Del Bebe Asesino’ by Ariel Acias.

On the other hand, Amir Albazi is on a 6-fight winning spree. Having defeated Kai Kara-France and Alessandro Costa, the Iraqi mixed martial artist has gained quite a bit of confidence for UFC Edmonton. But ‘The Prince’ wasn’t free from worries. After defeating Kara-France via a split decision, the flyweight contender found out that he had tachycardia, a heart disorder where the heart rate goes pretty high. He required surgery to fix his heart but later dealt with another nearly paralyzing issue. Nevertheless, Albazi has seemingly bounced back and would be walking out to the Iraqi army song ‘Takat Wala Mataket’ by Salah Al Bahar.

But what about the co-main eventers? Let’s see what songs the women’s flyweight stars are choosing to walk out to.

Which songs will Erin Blanchfield and Rose Namajunas walk out to at UFC Edmonton?

Erin Blanchfield will grace the arena at the co-main event of UFC Edmonton. She is within striking distance of a title shot. Talking to CBS, ‘Cold Blooded’ seemed to believe that she would have to put up a pretty good performance against Rose Namajunas to jump back from her loss to Manon Fiorot. For that, she’d need to finish the fight with a finishing move. And it’ll all begin with her walk-out song, ‘Remember The Name’ by Fort Minor.

What’s your perspective on:

Can Brandon Moreno break his losing streak with the power of 'El Corrido Del Bebe Asesino'?

Have an interesting take?

Rose Namajunas, unlike her opponent, won the last 2 fights in her flyweight title run. With an aim at becoming a double champion, the former 2-time strawweight champ has prepared herself for a win. And just like she did with her previous fights, ‘Thug Rose’ would either choose ‘Prolific Praise’ by Trey McLaughlin or ‘Praise Yah’ by Lorvins. No doubt, she’s all in for the praise!

With the main eventers and co-main eventers out, let’s take a look at some of the big guns who are set to step into Rogers Place on 2nd November.

What songs would Derrick Lewis, Jhonata Diniz, and others will walk out to?

Derrick Lewis will return with his knockout power and take on Jhonata Diniz at UFC Fight Night 246. ‘The Black Beast’ is fresh off a victory over Rodrigo Nascimento, and is indeed looking forward to defeating his Brazilian opponent with a KO. And just like he has loyalty to finishes, he is also loyal to one song. Lewis has a tradition of walking out to ‘Tops Drop’ by Fat Pat, and would likely choose the same song for UFC Edmonton.

Diniz, on the other hand, is fairly new to the Octagon, with only 2 fights under his UFC record. But the Brazilian has yet to taste defeat as a professional mixed martial artist. With an aim to finish Lewis with a knockout, Diniz would require every single weapon at his disposal. The first weapon would be his entry into Rogers Place, with ‘Aonde Nos Chegou’ by Mc Menor Mr E Mc Dede playing out loud.

Caio Machado would step into the arena with Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’ preparing him for battle like he did with his previous fight. Marc-Andre Barriault has chosen a couple of strong songs for his previous fights. At UFC 285, he chose to walk out to Skillet’s ‘Monster’, and ‘White Horse’ by Chris Stapleton at UFC 297. Barriault’s opponent, Dustin Stolzfus has a similar history with walkout songs. He has walked out to ‘July’ by Betcha, and ‘A Gringo Like Me’ by Ennio Morricone in his previous fights. What would the two choose this time? Well, that remains to be seen.
