UFC 306 will be, to say the least, a spectacle. If Dana White and Co. are to be believed, it will be the biggest spectacle in the history of combat sports, at least as far as the aesthetics and the production are concerned. After all, it will take place in the Sphere in Las Vegas, a venue that promises an experience like no other.

And the spectacle will start right from the fighter walkouts. It will be quite an exhibition to see the fighters’ walkout on the Sphere’s 160,000 square foot wraparound screens. This is why, unlike most other UFC cards, the fighter walkouts for UFC 306 are so interesting to fans.

Which song will Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili walk out to?

At the top of the card, champion Sean O’Malley will take on #1 ranked 135-pounder Merab Dvalishvili in what will be his second bantamweight title defense. Their bout will be the capstone of the whole event and given their stylistic matchup, it is easily the bout fans are most hyped for.

And for this bout, ‘Suga’ is most likely to continue walking out to his signature song– Lupe Fiasco’s pop hit ‘Superstar’ as the UFC superstar has been doing for the past seven years now. Dvalishvili, too, is loyal to one song, which he feels encapsulates who he is and what he represents. ‘The Machine’ uses a traditional song from his native Georgia, ‘Midi, Midi, Movdivar’ to make his walk-out. But what about the other fighters in the main event?

What is Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko’s walkout song?

Alexa Grasso will be the only Mexican on the main and co-main events of UFC Noche. The event, of course, is being held by the UFC to commemorate the Mexican Independence Day, and is thus, aimed primarily at a Mexican audience. And the Guadalajara native, too, like the other marquee fighters on the card, has seemingly found the one song that represents her best. For her past two fights, the women’s flyweight champ has walked out to ‘El Son De La Negra’ by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan. Further, she has used M.I.A.’s smash hit ‘Paper Planes’ in her fight before that.

Which fighter's walkout song at UFC 306 got you the most pumped up?

Have an interesting take?

Valentina Shevchenko still feels (rightfully) aggrieved and robbed of the title in her last fight with Grasso (which was also on a Noche card last year) due to one judge’s shenanigans. And she is looking to right this wrong on UFC 306. The Kyrgyzstani former champ uses the music used in Lezginka, a traditional dance from Kyrgyzstan and other Central Asian countries. After all, what better way the world about her deep and abiding love for her homeland? With the main and co-main event out of the way, now let us look at the other big names’ potential walkout songs.

Brian Ortega, Diego Lopes, and Raul Rosas Jr.’s walkout song

Brian Ortega and Diego Lopes‘ fight is as exciting as any other on this card given the electric matchup between the two men. Both men are not only excellent grapplers but have developed fantastic striking, making them an all-around nightmare. Ortega has the tendency to use different walkout songs and has a penchant for showmanship. To make his title clash against then-champ Alexander Volkanovski on UFC 266 even more memorable, for example, ‘T-City’ had a well-choreographed number to the tunes of the horror classic, ‘The Purge’. For his last fight, a rematch against Yair Rodriguez, however, he chose the iconic Spanish track, ‘El Matador’ by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs.

Lopes, who hails from Brazil, has not only three first-round finishes in five fights in the UFC but has also earned three $50k bonuses for his heroics in the Octagon so far. But like Ortega, he, too doesn’t have a set-piece song. The former multiple-promotion competitor used the song ‘Por Mi Mexico’ by Lefty SM (even though he is Brazilian) for his UFC 295 clash against Pat Sabtani. His most recent UFC outing three months ago on UFC 303, saw him walkout to Joey Bada$$’s hip-hop tunes of ‘Devastated.’ And both men are likely to continue this trend and may well use brand-new songs for their walkouts. No one will be surprised, however, if Ortega indulges the fans and has another choreographed number for the Sphere.

Another rising star featured on the card is Mexico’s own 19-year-old Raul Rosas Jr., who with his tendency for early finishes and remarkable youthfulness is already a veritable star. ‘El Nino Problema’ has consistently used the distinctive, peppy Mexican tunes of ‘El Mariachi Loco’ by Pedro Fernandez for his UFC Fights. Given the heavy focus on Mexico on this card, he may just choose to continue using this song. Or he may go with the song he used on last year’s Noche card, the patriotic anthem ‘Mexico Linda y Queirdo.’ Let us finally take a look at which songs some of the other UFC 306 fighters may use to announce their entry.

Other fighter walkout songs

Also featured on the main card is Mexican lightweight star Daniel Zellhuber, who likes to vary his walkout songs, but does tend to use Mexican songs to represent his heritage. At the Noche card last year, for example, he chose the Spanish song ‘Cancion del Mariachi’ by Antonio Banderas and Los Lobos. For his last fight, however, he used ‘El Campion Nuevo’ by Amar Azul.

Another Mexican star reprising his role from the last Noche card is Ronaldo Rodriguez, who, like many of his Mexican counterparts, used a Mexican song, ‘Por Mi Mexico’ by Lefty SM for his walkout in his last fight this February. His upcoming opponent, Ode Osborne from Jamaica, also likes to vary his walk-out music, having used Meek Mill’s ‘Level Up’ and ‘Kwaku the Traveler’ by Black Sherf in his past few fights.
