Perhaps one of the main reasons the UFC is the top MMA promotion in the world is because of the high production value of its events. UFC CEO Dana White has spoken about how watching Mike Tyson‘s electric walk-outs made him want to have world-class production and commentary for the UFC.
One of the most important parts of the production, which helps set the scene, and get the spectators pumped for fights is the fighter walk out. And the most important part of the walk-out is the song a fighter chooses to walk-out to as it reflects their intentions and mood. Ahead of the UFC 300 anniversary mega-card on Saturday, let us take a look at which songs the stars are likely to walk-out to.

The UFC has gone all out and is putting on a stacked to celebrate its three-hundredth pay-per-view event. The card will, of course, be headlined by a mouth-watering light heavyweight title bout between light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill.
Hill didn’t lose his title in the octagon and vacated his light heavyweight belt last year after an injury. Because of this, he believes the belt rightfully belongs to him and is raring to regain the 205-pound title. Given both men’s world-class striking abilities as well as a willingness to stand in the pocket and trade with their opponents, the bout is not expected to go the full five rounds.
For their bout, ‘Poatan’ may choose to walk out to ‘Itsari’ by Sepultura, which he has used ever since his promotional debut in. Hill, on the other hand, is likely to walk out to the cult classic,‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins, as he did in his only other title bout. Another cracking matchup is the BMF title bout between champion Justin Gaethje and former featherweight champion Max Holloway.
Holloway is likely to walk out to choose a mix-up of ‘Running Up the Hill’ and ‘Hawaiian Kickboxer’, as he has done in almost all previous fights. Gaethje, on the other hand, has used various different songs in recent times and may walk out to the tunes of ‘Fallen Kings’ by Tribal Seeds, which he used in his UFC 291 clash against Dustin Poirier. Or, he may go with the reggae classic ‘Ready’ by Alborosie featuring Mersa Marley.
The third title bout in the card is the historic Zhang Weili vs Yan Xiaonan, an all-Chinese women’s strawweight title bout. Weili walks out to the song ‘Swordsman & Sea’ usually and is likely to take it forward. However, Xiaonan has used a different song in almost every fight she has had in the UFC.
