Over the years, Joe Rogan has had several guests on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. This includes American political commentator, Ben Shapiro. The personality recently commented on the podcaster’s friendship with late chef, Anthony Bourdain.

Shapiro made an appearance on Rogan’s show several times, the latest one being episode #1732 in 2021.

In a recent episode, Joe Rogan remembered his friend, Anthony Bourdain, and discussed how his death left a lasting impact. ‘Daily Wire‘ did a story on it and how Rogan felt he ‘could’ve helped’ him.

Rogan felt ‘f**ked up’ after Bourdain’s death.

Shapiro shared the article on Facebook. He further wrote, “Sounds like they had an incredible friendship.”

Speaking about Bourdain, Rogan revealed the qualities the chef and writer had. In fact, Rogan also disclosed the famous personality loved the UFC and had even attended a few after getting interested in jiu-jitsu. That’s how they became close. No doubt, his death had a huge impact on Rogan.

However, Shapiro talking about Rogan and Bourdain attracted a lot of attention from Facebook users.

While Shapiro has his own show where he discusses things that catch his attention, he has been on Rogan’s JRE several times. Episodes #993, #1276 #1512, and #1732 witnessed long conversations between both personalities.

They spoke about the U.S. Presidents, different countries, sports, and so on. Likewise, they also spoke about politics.

In fact, in episode #993, Shapiro felt Joe Rogan would get criticized for having him on the show. However, the commentator didn’t care about it.

The Joe Rogan Experience under fire

Rogan’s podcast is counted amongst one of the biggest worldwide. However, he has received a lot of criticism for the same. In fact, many people have questioned his choice of guests as well.

Additionally, the podcast along with Spotify came under the fire after several people were of the opinion that the JRE was responsible for spreading misinformation. Thus, the platform had to make several changes.

While the fire around the podcast seems to have died down, it is still a topic of many discussions.

On the UFC front, Joe Rogan is preparing for an important event: UFC 279, which will be Nate Diaz’s last bout with the promotion. He will face an undefeated welterweight opponent, Khamzat Chimaev. Rogan along with Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier will commentate on the event.
