UFC enthusiasts know the 30th-anniversary show of the UFC for the highly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Jon Jones and  Stipe Miocic . The match also raised doubts among the fans since Jon Jones’ future step after the bout was in limbo, and the fans were cognizant of that. The anticipation of the bout was surely at its peak.

However, an astounding confirmation yielded by a post on the renowned social media platform Twitter (X) brought the winds of intrigue to the scenario. It had a match confirmation poster that featured two major competitors. Consequently, the post further acted as a magnet since it was able to draw the focus of the fans.

In a recent post by MMA Uncensored on Twitter, Dana White’s confirmation about the bout was brought to light by the MMA page. It had an elongated caption that stated: “Leon Edwards vs. Colby Covington welterweight title fight is  official at UFC 295 on November 11th in New York.”  The tweet made the revelation of another major bout between Leon Edwards and Colby Covington.

The poster obviously conveyed the remarks of UFC president Dana White. One might connect this to the assurance given to Colby Covington by the UFC President after he defeated Kamaru Usman at UFC 286. Indeed, that victory opened the doors for a championship bout for Covington. Knowing the twist in the tale, the reactions of the fans were obvious. But the doubt that arises is how they must have reacted.

Being announced for November also had a backstory. The pay-per-view card for November, which is currently headlined by a heavyweight title bout between champion Jon Jones and former champion Stipe Miocic, had free slots, according to UFC head honcho. Adding another major championship bout to the table would surely glorify the rizz of the event. It’s high time for UFC fans to get ready for an action-packed winter.
