Sean Strickland is just weeks away from defending his title at UFC 297. The 32-year-old middleweight champion will look to keep his winning momentum going as he prepares for his title defense against Dricus du Plessis. Preparing for a title fight is never easy, and Strickland is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation. ” Tarzan” has gathered a lot of fans lately because of his stellar performances inside the Octagon. Strickland won the title fight against Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 via decision. He dominated most of the rounds and looked in great shape. The current champion shares his training experiences in a recent YouTube video and makes some honest confessions.

During the video, Strickland said: “You meet a lot of like-minded people in the gym, and generally they want to better themselves. They are there to better themselves, have a better mentality, and be a better man. When you go to the gym, you try to murder your training partners. You tend to be a little less violent. You can sleep a little bit better. It allows you to see clearly and develop tools to function. “

UFC 297 is one of the year’s biggest tournaments, and the fans are waiting desperately for the fight. Both fighters have already been involved in much drama outside the Octagon with their recent altercations. It will be interesting to see which of the two keeps their composure during the fight.

29-year-old Dricus Du Plessis has quickly made a name for himself in the middleweight division. He has earned a title shot in just six fights and impressed everyone with his fighting ability. “Stillknocks” is fresh from a dominating victory against Robert Whittaker at UFC 290. He won the contest via knockout in the second round, thus cementing his place as the number-one contender.

However, the challenger must be at his best when he steps inside the Octagon with the champion. Strickland is one of the fearsome strikers in the division and can cause an upset if taken lightly.
