UFC President Dana White once revealed that he was actually shocked after Conor McGregor, who had no tattoos when he started MMA, got himself inked, and that too in a grand fashion.
The Irishman’s tattoos might be the most iconic ones in the whole MMA space, not only the heart-eating gorilla symbolizing the logo of his gym, SBG Ireland, but also the other ones which stand for his heritage, lineage, and spirit. However, UFC head honcho Dana White was not particularly fond of them when he saw them for the first time.

In an interview, Dana White was trying to guess the tattoos on his fighter’s body. And the first frame that popped up was that of ‘The Notorious’. Hence, White took no time in recognizing his favorite fighter, but with that, he also shared his reaction to it.
“He had no tattoos when he started. When Conor McGregor got that tattoo, I was horrified,” White said.
However, as everyone knows, McGregor is an outspoken personality, and he didn’t waste time doing the same when his employer gave him a rather unpleasant reception.
“And he said, ‘You know why you don’t like these tattoos? Because you are too old,”” White recalled.
The UFC supremo would have surely gotten the message to never question ‘The Notorious’ choices and maybe he still abides by it, even now.

“My gym’s logo is a gorilla. It’s not that particular gorilla. But it’s a gorilla. So I wanted to kinda get something along with that line. I feel like I am the king gorilla so I took the crown, and I had him eat a heart. It felt right. It felt like we were going in the right direction,” McGregor told Conan on his show,
