Valentina ‘The Bullet’ Shevchenko is on the cusp of becoming the only female UFC fighter to defend her title 7 times. Ever since the flyweight queen moved down to the division, she hasn’t lost a fight. Her impressive run at the 125lbs weight class has cemented her place as one of the GWOAT (greatest women of all times) of UFC. Her next challenge will see her step up to a very game, Taila Santos, who is on a 4-fight win streak.

Not looking past the Brazilian challenger, Shevchenko touched upon her desire to capture the bantamweight title one day, that has always eluded her.

As per a report by MMA Junkie, ‘The Bullet’ is keeping an eye on the rematch between Julianna Pena and Amanda Nunes. She stated that she would love to fight both women, as she holds a victory over Pena, but also aired her preference.

She said,” I think it’s mostly because people want it, and it was discussed through the years. Our trilogy with Amanda, and now people are speaking about Julianna. No matter what the outcome is gonna be in their fight in July, either works for me.”

She added,” It will be an interesting fight against Amanda, and we have a history with Julianna because a few years ago I submitted her. And so either option is gonna work for me.”

Her last outing against former champion Amanda Nunes caused her to lose out on the 135lbs gold. This compelled her to move down, but now she aims to attain the elusive champ-champ status.

Speaking with TMZ, UFC president, Dana White revealed promised to honor Shevchenko’s desire to face Nunes for the third time. He clarified that he would book the fight if she wants and even dubbed her as one of the GWOAT.

White said,” Listen, I have so much respect for Valentina Shevchenko, and if that’s the fight she wants? I’ll try to make it happen.”
