Unlike other UFC fighters, Nate Diaz reportedly follows a vegan lifestyle. He also avoids dairy products and follows a plant-based diet for his fight preparation.

It all started when Stockton’s second son consumed only vegan food before a competition. And after his bout, he ate other foods. This made him sick and uneasy for a month. Ever since then, Diaz is following a vegan diet. Even his older brother Nick Diaz prefers vegan food over meat and eggs.

In an interview with Men’s Journal, Nate Diaz said, “Who’s the real beast? [Eating predominantly raw and vegan] is more savvy and animalistic than anything. If anything, meat’s gonna slow you down,”

However, the famous podcast host and commentator Joe Rogan denies the fact that Diaz is Vegan. In a recent episode of his podcast, Rogan had a discussion with the UFC bantamweight fighter Marlon Vera, where he discussed the vegan diet.

While talking about Nate Diaz, Rogan said, Nah, he doesn’t eat vegan. They keep saying that. That’s not true. I Mean he eats eggs and fish and I mean I don’t know if he’s still eating fish.”

“But he certainly was at one point of time. But the vegans love to claim him. Because it’s nonsense. They just tried to find just one person who’s like elite on a vegan diet.”
