Daniel Cormier is one of the most well-reputed names in the entire UFC. The American is also one of the few UFC fighters to have title wins in two-weight divisions. His rivalry with the coveted fighter, Jon ‘Bones’ Jones, is one of the most exciting and loved chapters of the UFC. As of now, ‘DC’ is employed in the UFC as a commentator. He can be seen sharing the commentary table with famed Jon Anik and Joe Rogan.

But some fans had spoken out against him, calling him biased while commentating. DC, who is also an analyst for ESPN, had previously replied to the fan on Twitter who called him “biased“. However, this time, he also mentioned this issue at an official UFC press conference.
Daniel Cormier explained that he was not really biased
A fan named Liam Keith accused DC of being biased on Twitter the previous year. He had written, “You can’t even commentate without being mega biased?”.
Cormier provided a befitting reply to him stating, “But am I really? Or am I calling the fight as I see it and you just don’t see it the same way? Am I bias because I don’t agree with how you watch the fight? Or maybe I see things your untrained eye doesn’t ?”
Recently, DC justified himself a bit more in the UFC 281 pre-fight press conference. He talked about how his choices of fighters were actually great. He implied that he only spoke the truth, irrespective of how the fans might feel.
Cormier illustrated that his biases were truths
Cormier put up a point about why he was called biased. He said, “As of today, I would call Khabib Nurmagomedov as the greatest fighter, everybody talking about I’m biased“.
He also stated with a funny tone, “I’m gonna start wearing a t-shirt that says, this is biased”. DC went on to provide an apt reply to everyone calling him biased, stating, “Because if I was so biased I wouldn’t have a damn job.”
Cormier implied that a $9B organization like the UFC would always be looking for the best persons to fulfill the positions in their company. Hence, if he was incompetent as a commentator due to his biased nature, then he wouldn’t have been in the company in the first place.
DC also justified how Nurmagomedov was the best fighter stating, “But, Khabib is as good as they come, he’s 29 and 0.” He also said, “He could have gone to 40 and 0 if he wanted to.”
