Israel Adesanya finally defeated his arch-rival Alex Pereira with an impressive knockout to become the first-ever two-time UFC middleweight champion at UFC 287. But it doesn’t look like ‘Poatan’ is done with him. ‘The Last Stylebender’ shared a tweet trolling Pereira and the latter responded with a challenge.

The rivalry between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya was one of the most exciting things about the UFC over the past few months. After suffering his first-ever knockout loss, the Brazilian ace wanted to fight Izzy for a third time. But Adesanya wasn’t interested in that idea.

‘The Last Stylebender’ left no stone under to remind Pereira about the UFC 287 knockout by smoking him on Twitter. As if mocking his son wasn’t enough, Israel Adesanya posted a picture of a knocked-out ‘Poatan’. There most interesting part of the picture was that Pereira’s body had a chalk outline, which is a common feature present during crime scenes. He captioned the post: “I love this game.”

Izzy seems to be relishing the biggest win of his MMA career. He even received a hero’s welcome back home in New Zealand after the win. But he never misses a chance to fire shots at Alex Pereira. However, ‘Poatan’ didn’t hold back this time. He made a quick tweet in response to the two-time middleweight champion and issued him a challenge. Let us see what Pereira had to say about Isreal Adesanya’s recent tweet.

‘Poatan’ wants a final showdown

Alex Pereira took a dig at Adesanya after noticing his tweet. He claimed that it was impossible for Izzy to beat him in a kickboxing fight. Pereira said, “In kick-boxing it’s impossible now to be better than me.” He might have taken a dig about kickboxing, but he understands that both fighters are still tied with 1 win against each other in MMA. ‘Poatan’ added, “In MMA it’s 1:1.”

But Alex Pereira looks extremely confident that he will not make the same mistake again. He finally called out Israel Adesanya for the trilogy fight. “Be real with your fans and let’s show the world who is better in MMA,” said Pereira. He dared Adesanya to step forward and prove to his fans if he really was the better MMA fighter in a trilogy bout to close out the rivalry.
