Sharaputdin Magomedov has made a huge impact in UFC with just two fights in the promotion till now. He has an undefeated record in the promotion with his first victory coming via a decision and second via KO/TKO, along with a unique personality and flamboyant striking scheme. What is more interesting is that he can fight like a pro with just proper vision in one eye. Since his debut in UFC 294 in Abu Dhabi against Bruno Silver, he has achieved one more victory against Antonio Trocoli at UFC Fight Night Saudi Arabia. However, since he is blind in one eye, he might not be allowed to fight in the US.
Interestingly, middleweight fighter Kevin Holland, who won in UFC 302 against Michal Oleksiejczuk, has revealed a big secret after being provoked by Shara Bullet.

Shara Bullet is currently in the USA and he is looking for a fight. The undefeated Dagestani fighter is already a proven fighter and two fights old in UFC. Following his successful debut in Abu Dhabi, Magomedov also got a short-notice replacement and got Antonio Trócoli for UFC Fight Night in Saudi Arabia. Now his record stands at 13-0 and this incredible fighter with a unique personality is attracting a lot of attention as he’s bringing up his weight to the 185-pound ladder. He recently challenged Kevin Holland to a fight in a very dramatic way.
In a recent Instagram post, Magomedov announced his desire to fight Kevin Holland and gave him a direct challenge through a video. He was holding an Iguana while saying, “Kevin Holland, the real pirate here, Shara ‘Bullet’ in UFC. I kill you July 13. Let’s go fight. I kill you. I take your head home. Kevin Holland, let’s go.” Holland was quick to reply as he commented, “If the boss likes it, I love it and by the looks of it he liked it.”

Soon after his victory, the Russian took a plane and headed for Los Angeles because he had just got an offer of a killer role in an upcoming short movie in Hollywood. However, the fighter has high aspirations for his career in the UFC and has his eyes set on fighting big names in the promotion. His plans might have a hiccup, as Dana White said in the post-fight press conference in Riyadh that Magomedov will likely not be able to fight in the US. However, ‘Bullet’ is confident that he can fight in the USA and Denver next month.

Can Sharaputdin Magomedov fight in the USA?
He has had a good career so far in the UFC and the middleweight Muay Thai kickboxer retained his unbeaten record along with gaining a movie debut in the US as well. Following his latest win in Saudi Arabia, Dana White was asked whether Magomedov would be able to fight in the US. To this, the UFC CEO did not seem sure as he said, “Can he? Probably not. We’ll keep him out here.”
He also is in Denver right now so clearly he got entry into US soil but whether he will be able to fight there is still unclear. This decision will come down to Athletic Commissions. For instance, the Nevada Athletic Commission rules require the fighter to have both eyes healthy and licensed by them. This means that ‘Bullet’ cannot fight in Nevada.

However, other athletic commissions in the US have a more liberal approach and rules, such as Texas and Florida. These states might let him fight. Michael Bisping had also fought with one eye. Bisping became a champion by fighting with one eye. However, he used to memorize the eye test charts for medical exams, as nobody was aware of Bisping’s injury. The same is not the case with Shara Bullet.
Even if he cannot fight according to the rules of some Athletic Commissions, he can still fight out of the country like the Middle East. Do you think the 31-year-old can fight Holland next? Drop your views in the comments below.
