Conor McGregor is the most popular fighter in mixed martial arts history. Not to mention the richest, with a net worth of around $200 million. The flamboyant, verbose Irishman has been one of the factors behind the UFC being as popular as it is today. Even UFC heavyweight champion and GOAT contender Jon Jones recently praised McGregor for “fast forwarding” the sport “ten years”.

And McGregor, who many argue, has fallen off in recent times, got to the top of the UFC pyramid on the back of his hunger, commitment, passion, and spectacular performances that saw him become one of the few people to win titles in two weight-classes at the same time. A fan tweeted a video of McGregor in a non-UFC Octagon sparring against an opponent. He asked Conor McGregor if the video was from the buildup to UFC 257. McGregor responded and wrote that this was an exact replica of the UFC octagon that he built in his back garden for practice, which he had adorned with his own brands.

This is out my back garden in a marquee. I built an exact ufc octagon with my own brands representing the canvas. Awesome stuff!,” he tweeted.

Notorious seemed pleased with his performance in the video and praised himself. “Shit Hot Mac Daddy,” he wrote in reply to the video.
