The Austin-native UFC bantamweight star Adrian Yanez delivered yet another signature performance last weekend at UFC Austin. The fighter put up a terrific fight in his hometown and beat Tony Kelly via a first-round TKO.
Yanez had the crowd going wild after the finish and delivered a great octagon interview after it as well. The fighter promised to beat Kelly before the fight after the controversy Kelly had in Brazil for saying ‘dirty Brazilians’ while cornering his girlfriend Andrea Lee in a fight. Gilbert Burns also offered him money to knock him out but said he would do it for free, which he did.
Yanez earned his fifth post-fight performance bonus for his display at UFC Austin. He now has five bonuses in his first five UFC fights, which even greats like Conor McGregor, Anderson Silva, and Khabib Nurmagomedov do not have.

I had to double check about names like Anderson, Conor, TKZ, Suga and they all were missing one in their first five

The fighter won the Fight of the Night bonus in his bout against Davey Grant at UFC Vegas 43 last year. He also won the performance of the night bonus in his bouts against Randy Costa, Gustavo Lopez, and Victor Rodriguez. Out of five of his bouts in the UFC, the Austin native has won four via a finish and one via split decision.
Yanez could certainly be a threat to the bantamweight division if he continues performing the way he is right now.
