Conor McGregor can strike. He can use his hands, legs, elbows, knees, and shoulders. He can also hit hard with his tongue. The trash-talking legend has spiced up his fights with his sharp comments. One such comment that caught the attention of fans and stayed with them is the “Who the Fu** is that Guy” comment he made in response to Jeremy Stephens calling him out. Now Conor McGregor has posted a tweet about how he wants to have a boxing bout against Stephens. The tweet wasn’t so simple, though. Conor McGregor touched a sensitive nerve when he reminded Stephens of the old times.

Back in September 2016, McGregor who was in his prime was sitting with Jeremy Stephens at a press conference. Stephens claimed he was the hardest hitter in the 145 lbs division. This and the subsequent statements were too much to take for McGregor and made him pose the now-infamous question about Stephens’ identity.

Fans React to Conor McGregor’s fight demands

The tweet from McGregor had a lot of reactions from fans. While some remembered the old times others suggested to McGregor that he should focus his energy on Michael Chandler. A fan played along and commented on the words Jeremy Stephens had used during the conversation. He commented,

Conor McGregor may fight Michael Chandler

McGregor has been away from the cage for a long time now. His assignment as a coach in TUF 31 has raised hopes of McGregor being seen in the UFC cage soon, but nothing is confirmed yet. There is strong speculation that Conor McGregor will fight Michael Chandler sometime near the end of this year. Chandler is currently coaching against McGregor in TUF 31. While McGregor has talked about showing the difference between their classes, Michael Chandler will not be a cakewalk for the Irish. Fans remain excited to see the Irish be in the cage after so long but a surprise might be lurking around the corner.
