Despite starting his own promotion and signing to fight Jake Paul, MMA icon Nate Diaz still has a love for the UFC. The 39-year-old recently appeared for the first press conference for the Paul fight in Dallas. Following the event, he briefly addressed MMA media members and answered a few questions about the fight and the future.

Diaz left the UFC after his fight against Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in September last year. The Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner entered the market as the hottest free agent at the time after submitting Ferguson to bow out with a win.

Months later, Diaz is looking to earn a hefty paycheck from his bout against Jake Paul. Furthermore, he will don the promoter’s robes as his Real Fight Inc. is co-promoting the event with Jake Paul’s MVP promotions. Meanwhile. Diaz also had the attention of other top MMA promotions like PFL and ONE. But he only fancies a return to the UFC.
