Raul Rosas Jr. was humbled by Christian Rodriguez at UFC 287 in Miami. ‘El Nino Problema’ was on a hype train coming into the fixture. However, the 25-year-old got the better of Rosas Jr. as he won via a majority decision in Miami. ‘Ceerod’ won against all odds as fans predicted Rosas Jr. to keep up his hype train. However, Rodriguez showed composure against Rosas Jr. and secured a win.

Recently, Rodriguez spoke about his opponent in a recent interview after UFC 287. The 25-year-old gave an honest opinion about the young UFC star as he was handed his first loss, much similar to what UFC President Dana White had to say about the youngster.

The UFC bantamweight spoke about his opponent on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. Rodriguez spoke about the potential of Raul Rosas Jr. in the interview.

Ariel Helwani asked ‘Ceerod’, “Do you think Rosas is gonna turn into the fighter that people were making him out to be like? Do you see that potential in him?

Rodriguez spoke highly about the position Rosas Jr. is in. He said, “Yeah I see it. He’s young… To be in the UFC at that age is very, like one of the most rare things to do. Because the kid is good I did go 15 minutes with that kid and I do have a lot of respect towards him. i just think he needs to take his time and pick the right fights.”

‘Ceerod’ gave some advice to the 18-year-old during the interview. Helwani asked, “You think it would be better off for him to not be in the UFC right now?”.

Rodriguez answered, “It’s hard to say. Just because I feel like there’s still a lot of holes in this game as in his whole complete like this whole MMA skills to that… But i don’t think it’s a bad idea if he fights outside of UFC. I mean UFC is the highest level. It’s like the highest level of MMA so it’s hard.”
