What’s next for Conor McGregor after UFC? Despite the appeals of Hollywood fame or luxury vacations, it seems like the former dual-weight champ wants to stay connected with combat sports after all. He recently made headlines for purchasing a substantial stake in one of America’s top promotions, BKFC. Conor McGregor seems to be making a transition in his professional life and this time not as a fighter but as a promoter.

Unlike other UFC fighters, Conor McGregor is quite the genius when it comes to quadrupling his money. The former dual-weight champion has multiple businesses to his name, and BKFC is just another jewel in his crown. While it’s true that ‘Mystic Mac’ has some stake in the company, the exact amount remains undisclosed. However, David Feldman has stepped forward to dispel any doubts regarding McGregor’s ownership stake.

Dur͏ing͏ the peak of his career, Conor McGr͏e͏gor demanded a stake from D͏an͏a Whi͏te in the ͏UFC. However, while neither White nor any other ͏ad͏ministrat͏o͏r͏ commented on it, seems like they will ͏regret it ͏now͏͏.

Last month, BKFC President David Feldman and Conor McGregor revealed that ‘Notorious’ had bought a stake in the company. This news rattled the MMA community as McGregor would now become one of the co-owners of one of the biggest promotions in North America. McGregor Sports and Entertainment partnered up with Triller (BKFC’s parent) to run the promotion, “Welcome to the big leagues. David Feldman, baby, we did it,” said Conor McGregor in his introduction video. It must be noted that ‘Mystic Mac’ would be directly challenging Dana White’s dominance in the MMA zone now.

However, the actual shares held by Conor McGregor were not revealed at that time but Feldman has come forward to shed light upon it. While in conversation with renowned journalist, Ariel Helwani on ‘TheMMAHour’, Feldman stated that McGregor has enough stake in the company to have substantial voting power. “I’m gonna let him disclose what he wants to disclose about that,” Feldman said.

He further added “I’m going to tell you that he has needle-moving equity. He has very substantial equity in the company. He has enough equity to really make a big play here, and um, you know, I think he’s going to, okay?”

To summarise the news, Conor Mcgregor might have a stake of over 20% as anything less than that would mean that he would be dependent on other boards of directors for making decisions. ‘Mystic Mac’s judgment to partner up with BKFC might be a shock to the UFC supremo as well, but only one that could leave him with regrets of his own!

Dana White might not be happy with the BKFC deal

Even after his exile from MMA, Conor McGregor is still the biggest star UFC has ever produced. His stance could still very much change the wind of the game and losing or having him would be equally monumental for any organization as such. As mentioned above, Conor McGregor wanted a stake in UFC but neither Dana White nor Lorenzo Fertitta paid any attention to him. And Feldman did not hold back from sharing his take on the ordeal.

“Dana White has a juggernaut with the UFC. I mean Conor McGregor certainly moves the needle for him but he is very successful without him. Not that he’s fighting for us but as him promoting our product. I mean you’re probably a little mad your number one star is going to talk about a different company so you’re probably not very happy about it,” said Feldman in a conversation with the media.

In his desperate attempt, ‘Mystic Mac’ even approached Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg to buy his stake in UFC. Wahlberg initially agreed but pulled back after some time. Nonetheless, McGregor was left empty-handed but things might be changing now as BKFC has clinched McGregor and well this news might not be soothing to the UFC supremo.
