Conor McGregor‘s recent civil lawsuit loss has sparked concerns not just about his fighting career and his brands that suffered huge losses recently, but also his gig as a promoter at BKFC. It was just a few months ago that he announced his part-ownership status in the bare-knuckle outfit in classic McGregor fashion. But is he going to say goodbye to that role as well amid his legal controversy? Well, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
During a recent exclusive interview with Andrew Whitelaw of EssentiallySports, BKFC founder and president David Feldman addressed the big question mark surrounding his lawsuit and, of course, his BKFC ownership status. Feldman touched upon two points regarding the present disposition of BKFC and ‘The Notorious’. Firstly, Feldman refused to comment on McGregor’s legal issues, which, understandably, he didn’t believe was the right thing to do. Secondly, he assured that the duo is in constant contact with each other, and yes, their association will continue until further notice.
“I’m not going to really get into his personal troubles here. But [what] I am going to say is we never missed a beat at all,” David Feldman stated during an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports. “We kept communicating. He understands what needs to be done, and he’s going to do that and you know, we’re going to continue forward with them.”

It seems like not all is lost for Conor McGregor in the aftermath of the civil lawsuit with regard to his business ventures. Furthermore, he plans to appeal against the jury’s verdict sometime in the future. While we don’t have much clarity on what his next move is with regard to filing his appeal, we do know that he might be involved in a high-profile boxing bout against Logan Paul in India, organized by one of the country’s richest and most powerful families, the Ambanis. Nevertheless, McGregor has been keeping an eye on BKFC events, and recently, he shared a message ahead of the promotion’s upcoming event in Hollywood, California.

David Feldman and Co. had a tremendous 2024, and the inclusion of Conor McGregor has only helped their brand grow bigger. On December 21, they will be ending the year with BKFC on DAZN Hollywood, featuring an 84 kg (185 lbs) light heavyweight bout between Jared Warren and Mike Richman for the title. Of course, McGregor is excited, and just like the last time, would have made an epic entrance at the event in Hollywood – given that he’s a movie star – but can’t at this point in time, due to the high-profile lawsuit. However, the former UFC double champion didn’t forget to send a message, though he kept it brief.

“Incredible,” McGregor wrote on X. His reaction may not be an exaggeration or just a means to hype up the event. Conor McGregor has always claimed that there is nothing more on the growth than bare-knuckle boxing, and he’s planning to compete in it as well. “For me, I have a little business left [with the UFC], two fights left on my contract. But for sure, we’ve got three lightweights up here on the dais and I have my eye on all of this. I’m not up here just as an owner — ‘player/manager’ I’ll title myself on this one,” the Irishman stated prior to BKFC’s trip to Marbella, Spain.
