Things could soon change for The Joe Rogan Experience. Why? Because of a Spotify deal that is soon set to expire giving Rogan the room to experiment if he so wishes. However, will the podcast host walk away from the cozy and well-paid-for setup with Spotify? Or will it be the other way around?

Perhaps Joe Rogan has quite a few exit options if he so decides. Or so thinks Patrick Bet-David, a fellow podcaster and YouTuber who broke down the details of Rogan’s potential. In the podcast, he talked about how there’s a fundamental difference between Rogan and journalist, Tucker Carlson.

Joe Rogan and Carlson are different people

While both of them have become famous for announcing their thought, there is a fundamental difference between the two, especially if both of them are put in one room together. According to Bet-David, the two could make a “dream team,” if they join forces. However, that may or may not happen.

“. . . there’s a big difference between Joe and Tucker,” he noted and continued, “. . . he raises 15 million for a new media company at $150 million valuation, okay so Tucker wants to build a media company. Do I think Joe wants to build a media company? I don’t know about that. I do know a handful of other companies, a couple of them I’ve spoken to that will be making offers to him.”

Clearly, Carlson wants to go a certain way while Rogan on the other hand, may just walk away from Spotify to get an even better deal for the podcast. If so happens, will a real deal actually go through? The Spotify deal is meant to be over in 2024.

Once that much is done, the veteran will most likely have a deal one way or another. Alternatively, Spotify too could be pulling the strings for Rogan. After all, the kind of money he makes off of The Joe Rogan Experience, makes him as capable as anyone else. So Rogan won’t be tempted but might just take a different route.

What could Rogan do?

Perhaps he could go the Carlson way and establish a company of his own. On the other hand, he could just accept other offers. There would likely be loads of platforms looking to form a partnership with the likes of Joe Rogan. Most importantly, the color commentator has not shown any desire to stop the podcast.

It would be a huge loss for Spotify to let the man go. Rogan’s podcast rakes in millions of views with every single episode and sometimes he does over three episodes in the very same week. In trying times like these, it would be nothing short of a travesty to lose Rogan. Do you think Spotify will renew the deal?
