

As they drew the curtain at UFC 281, we looked at the results and a few of them were a surprise. ‘Poatan’ defeated ‘The Stylebender’ to snatch the UFC Middleweight title from him in the championship round with a TKO. Former UFC light Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman posted on Instagram that the African trio will come back.

With the main event concluded, the result of the UFC Middleweight title fight’s result was a surprise to many. Alex Pereira in his 7th fight won and clenched the Middleweight title. Israel Adesanya dominated most of the fight and even completed his first-ever successful take-down. But Alex managed to overcome him with the last hurrah at the end of the fight.

Former UFC Welterweight ‘The Nigerian Nightmare‘ was present amongst the crowd watching the event along with UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who faced a similar fate at the hands of Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards.

It is no secret that the trio is like a band of brothers. They have showcased their love and support for each other across social media and in real life. Whenever one of them fights the other two are present to support him. This was further ensured as The Nigerian Nightmare took to Instagram to send a warning to the UFC.

Kamaru Usman: Are we entering Nigerian Nightmare’s redemption saga?
At UFC 278, former UFC light Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman lost his belt to Leon Edwards via a head-kick knockout in the championship round. Much like Izzy, the Nigerian nightmare was dominating the majority of the fight and was on the way to winning the bout via decision.

This came as a surprise as Usman was chasing the all-time P4P title via a win. If he had won the bout he would have reached the pinnacle of UFC as a fighter. There was a lot on the line for him and he came up short in the last round. Leon Edwards looked sharp and survived till the final round giving Usman a fight.
When the chance came, he took it with both hands and made sure that Usman doesn’t stand up till the celebrations started.
