Arnold Allen's 'P**s Shorts'—a bold move or a step too far for UFC's image?

The UFC have outdone themselves this time. Or rather, UFC #10 ranked bantamweight star Arnold Allen has. The Englishman is featuring on the main card of the UFC 304 event in Manchester, England, where he will take on dangerous #6 ranked 135-pounder Giga Chikadze.

Ahead of the July 27 bout, which will see the winner get in the title picture, Allen has managed to convince the UFC to do something that is, at least, going to get a laugh from the fans, and may even amuse and perhaps distract his opponent. The Englishman’s request for a unique design for the shorts he wants to wear in UFC 304 has been approved by Dana White and Co.

Not just any design, but the design of a pee stain on gray shorts. “@ufc have confirmed my custom shorts will be grey sweats with a p*ss stain, cheers lads,” a triumphant Allen declared gleefully on his Twitter.

While Allen is the betting favorite going into his fight with Chikadze, it is by no means going to be a cakewalk. A win will do wonders for the Englishman, who set the division on fire with his ten-fight win streak, losing the momentum, unfortunately after he lost back-to-back fights since last year. But, Chikadze, too is determined to do everything he can to get into the title picture.

Giga Chikadze promises to knockout Arnold Allen

Injuries have kept Giga Chikadze from fighting as much as he would want over the past few years. The Tbilisi native was also a fast-rising star in the 135-pound division until he was thoroughly outclassed by Calvin Kattar two years ago.

This time around, however, he is determined not to drop the ball, since a win over the ever-dangerous Allen could take him to the next level in the division. And Chikadze is looking forward to the challenge, admitting he was “excited” to go up against the Englishman and his “interesting” all-around fighting style.

Well aware of the stakes for the bout, the Georgian is determined not only to beat Allen but to do it in style. Chikadze has certainly talked a good game going into UFC 304, promising a ‘Performance of the Night’ worthy knockout, determined to give their money’s worth before the main event.

“I feel like this fight is going to be one of the best. I’m aiming to finish it quickly and secure the Performance of the Night bonus. For many fans, this fight feels like the main event,” Chikadze said in a recent interview.
