Just last year, reports came out that UFC legend and Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov found himself in the Russian Government’s crosshairs for issues related to tax evasion. Now, another fighter, Arman Tsarukyan, has come under the Russian Government’s radar for a similar issue. However, the amount of money that the Armenian star owes to the authorities is reported to be way less than that of Khabib’s.

When Khabib Nurmagomedov was called out for some tax discrepancy issues, the reports coming out during that time claimed that he owed the government a total of an estimated $3.3 million (or 297 million rubles). Following that, the country’s authorities, the Federal Tax Service or FTS, froze ‘The Eagle’s bank accounts in Russia. However, Arman Tsarukyan doesn’t seem to be facing the same level of scrutiny as the 29-0 legend.

According to a media outlet named Mash, Arman Tsarukyan, the UFC’s #1 ranked lightweight contender, owes the Federal Tax Service a total of around 99.5 thousand rubles, which is equal to around $1181.7 in the United States. According to the report from the FTS, they also seem to have taken note of Tsarukyan’s property management company in Russia, a gym located in the USA, a flat in Miami—which he has rented out—a Mercedes G-Wagon, and a Lamborghini Urus with custom license plates.

Well, the 99.5 thousand rubles may not be a big issue for Arman Tsarukyan. If you haven’t guessed it already—through his possessions mentioned above—the man comes from a lot of wealth. His riches have especially come from his father, who’s a businessman. Let’s take a look at his background.

Arman Tsarukyan has a rich father

A couple of months ago, former UFC double champion Henry Cejudo made a wild claim about Arman Tsarukyan’s financial situation. When ‘Ahalkalakets’ once told him that he is “very rich,” ‘Triple C’ would insinuate that the 28-year-old’s net worth is in the 8-figure territory. “I’m talking about $100 million rich,” Cejudo stated on his Pound 4 Pound podcast. However, Tsarukyan would later reveal that all the money is his father’s, Nairi Tsarukyan, who owns a successful construction company. “I do not [have money outside of UFC]. My father maybe has,” he stated prior to UFC 311.

Well, Arman Tsarukyan is also not going to fight for more than he needs. His only aim is to become the world champion in the UFC, and after that, he plans to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a businessman himself. “My goal is to get the belt and then from there, I’m just gonna think about business because what I wanted, is to be a world champion right now,” Tsarukyan added.
