The American Top Team gym at Coconutcreek, Florida has been his home for a considerable amount of time. And UFC’s BMF champion, Jorge Masvidal is one of his primary training partners.

Both Poirier and Masvidal are two of the best strikers in the entire UFC roster. Training on a daily basis with each other has paid their dues as well. There have been some impeccable improvements in both fighter’s skillsets in recent times. Also, former interim welterweight champion, Colby Covington happened to be a part of the team. But he is now on bitter terms with ATT.
They also have former UFC star Mike Brown in the ranks as their coach. Brown cares deeply about his disciples and shares a friendly relation with the likes of Poirier and Masvidal.
Whenever either ‘The Diamond’ or ‘Gamebred’ has a fight coming up, the other is present to prepare their friend. It is truly a genuine bond they share and given their authentic characters, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
What’s next for Dustin Poirier and Jorge Masvidal?
Poirier will face Conor McGregor next month at UFC 264. The duo is set to complete their trilogy with the score between them settled at 1-1. As for Masvidal, he has to put the disappointments of suffering the first knockout loss of his career at UFC 261 behind him. ‘Gamebred’ will look to get back to work as soon as possible and eventually make himself eligible for yet another title shot.
Nevertheless, both fighters have plenty left in them as top-level UFC competitors. And they will be there for each other in a bid to prepare for those upcoming battles.
