Joe Rogan has had a lot of fighters on his podcast. The most recent being UFC middleweight fighter Joaquin Buckley. The Fighter was a guest at ‘JRE MMA Show ‘ episode 132. Joaquin Buckley also fought in Bellator MMA and Legacy Fighting Alliance. Rogan and Buckley talked about UFC 281 and a lot of other things. They also talked about injuries.

Joe Rogan asked Joaquin Buckley if he had watched Aaron Pico’s last fight. Buckley said he hadn’t. Rogan told Joaquin Buckley that Aaron Pico’s shoulder popped out during the fight with Jeremy Kennedy. Rogan also discussed why he thought wrestlers who come to MMA have weak shoulders.

Joe Rogan said, “Yeah he had the same thing that happened to TJ. He dislocated his shoulder and then had to stop the fight He threw a left hook and it just popped out.” Rogan then talked about wrestlers having shoulders that are barely holding on.

He added, “So many of these wrestlers, their shoulders are so fu***d up by the time they get into the MMA. They have all these tears and shit and kinda barely holding on “

Joe Rogan worried about wrestlers in MMA

Joe Rogan’s comment about wrestlers having “fu***d up” shoulders by the time they get to MMA can not be ignored. T.J.Dillashaw and Aaron Pico are just two former wrestlers who got injured in a cage fight. There may be many others too. Sports doctors may look into these cases and find ways to prevent injury.

Joe Rogan and Joaquin Buckley were both shocked to see how Aaron Pico’s corner tried to fix the shoulder. Aaron is now supposed to go under the knife for his shoulder injury.

Joe Rogan criticizes Pico’s corner

Rogan and Buckley were both shocked to see Aaron Pico’s corners Greg Jackson and Brandon Gibson trying to pop his shoulder back in place. The videos from the fight show the corners wildly yanking at Aaron Pico’s arm.

Rogan went on to say, “and now they are trying to pull it out. I don’t think that’s necessarily the correct way to do it. There has to be a technique. I don’t think that’s how it goes.”

Joe Rogan was right in his assessment that Aaron Pico’s corner would have done more damage to him than good. The violent pulling has now been called out by many sports doctors.
