Dana White wrapped up the UFC 288 pay-per-view in Newark last weekend. A surprise met him when he returned to his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. The police pulled over the UFC president as he shared the incident in a story on his Instagram account.

The 53-year-old promoter had a successful UFC 288 despite facing a few obstacles, such as replacing the co-main event with a fight between Gilbert Burns and Belal Muhammad. The PPV also saw a returning Henry Cejudo failing to become a two-time bantamweight champion after losing to Aljamain Sterling in the main event via a split decision.

The police pulled over Dana White after his return to Las Vegas

Dana White was driving his car when a police car pulled him over by the side of the road in Las Vegas. Dana White shared a video clip from the instance on his Instagram account. With a smile on his face, he said, “Welcome home. Back in Vegas.” It was hilarious to see the UFC boss in a light-hearted mood after getting pulled over by the police.

Dana White did not disclose any details about why the police decided to pull him over and how serious the situation was. But it didn’t look like the UFC president was in a tough spot, considering how calm and collected he looked in the Instagram story.

The UFC president was previously once pulled over for over-speeding

Dana White is not a stranger to getting pulled over by the police. In 2019, the 53-year-old was driving his Ferrari 488 Spider in Nevada. A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper who was on a motorcycle consequentially stopped him because of over-speeding. White was almost twenty-three miles above the designated speed limit.

As soon as the Highway Patrol trooper put on the police siren and got behind White’s red Ferrari, The UFC president stopped his car without any hesitation. The officer proceeded to check White’s car documents and driving license, as the 53-year-old remained calm and collected. The officer gave Dana White a written warning and advised him to slow down whenever police asked him to stop. In the end, the patrol trooper showed him the nearest exit from the highway and let Dana White go.

Recently, Tony Ferguson was arrested for DUI after a car crash in Hollywood. But it doesn’t look like a similar situation for the UFC president since he shared the moment on social media with a light-hearted jab on the situation. We will have to wait and see what follows.
