In JRE, Rogan’s guest said, “Jeremy Stevens said but he would be like man, he’d just wake you up at like two in the morning like ‘we’re going we’re running’ and he would just go and do this“
After listening carefully, Rogan stated that the unconventional training methods of Ferguson shares similarity to that of boxing legend, Mayweather. He said, “That’s Floyd Mayweather. Floyd may do that too. He would go to club, drink water hang out with everybody and then run 10 miles home.” Rogan’s comment about Ferguson made it clear that he had high regard for the UFC fighter.

‘El Cucuy’s clash against Khabib Nurmagomedov
During the conversation, the former Fear Factor host also mentioned his wish. Rogan wished that the fight between retired UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov and Ferguson would have happened. When Nurmagomedov and Ferguson were at their prime, their matchup was highly anticipated by the fans. Back then, Ferguson posted a video where the Russian fighter and Ferguson were having a verbal war. Under the post, he called ‘The Eagle’ by the name “Fathead.”

Among many, Rogan also wished that the bout between the two would take place. Rogan said, “I wish Tony fought Khabib when Tony was in his prime. Tony in his prime, you know. People see him get knocked out by Michael Chandler and they see him lose to Nate. They see these fights. It’s a damn shame. Man, it’s that’s a long road of a battered body from war.” Joe Rogan spoke highly of Tony Ferguson, recognizing his exceptional fighting skills.
