In an interview that came out on YouTube, two-time UFC Middleweight champ Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya, talked to his brother, and host David Adesanya, about things he’s been doing since his last fight at UFC 287. The video was uploaded to the ‘FREESTYLEBENDER’ channel and has made waves among fans. Fans are trying to get a sneak peek into Adesanya’s mindset, as he reveals future plans and picks his favorite for an upcoming battle that could rewrite the script of middleweight glory.
When asked about his next fight, the ‘Stylebender’ confirmed that he would be willing to wait only until September to step into the Octagon. However, he revealed that initially, he was considering a fight in July. It seems that his plans have evolved over time.

Israel Adesanya: Potential fights and opponents
Moving on to the topic of potential opponents, Adesanya mentioned that he had shown interest in facing Dricus Duplessis in the ‘Death Star’, a new venue that had made a lot of buzz in the MMA community. However, the details surrounding this matchup remained uncertain, as Adesanya simply stated that he had “tried.”
The middleweight fighter also said that he’s still looking for potential fights, now that it’s been over five weeks since his last bout. In fact, Du Plessiss’ comments about him not being a real African rubbed Adesanya the wrong way. This ensured an online war between the two fighters.
Adesanya stated, “I tried to do Duplessis in the f**king the Death Star. … Yeah…I tried…”
Adesanya’s pre-fight analysis for UFC 290
Shifting the focus to the upcoming bout between Robert ‘The Reaper’ Whittaker and Dricus ‘Stillknocks’ Du Plessis at UFC 290, Adesanya was asked to assess Whittaker’s chances of winning. Adesanya responded to the question with an open mind, offering a glimpse into his psyche.
“…I don’t like to say there’s no way because there’s always a way.”

Adesanya took a brief pause and named his winning pick out of the pair. He affirmed Whittaker had a better chance at winning the bout, and envisioned him either finishing his opponent in the second round or ‘just beating him up’ for all three rounds.

Although Adesanya didn’t completely rule out the South African fighter’s chances, he expressed his doubts about his ability to outlast ‘Rob’. He also emphasized that Whittaker’s speed and endurance would likely outshine his opponent.
