It is not uncommon for a UFC fighter to try and diversify his repertoire after his or her time in the Octagon. Some fighters return for ‘big money’ matches while some join other promotions in search of a bigger paycheck. Some fighters move to boxing or even WWE for that matter and some move into Hollywood.
Former UFC ‘BMF’ champion Jorge Masvidal recently broke the ice on ‘making a Hollywood debut’. This won’t be the first time that a UFC fighter has been asked that since a lot of UFC fighters have joined hands with Hollywood and played roles in movies. Fighters like Rampage Jackson, Randy Couture, Ronda Rousey, Georges St-Pierre, and Anderson Silva are some of the biggest names who played roles in movies. However, there is another UFC fighter who is slated to make a debut in Hollywood.

Making his debut in Hollywood is former UFC Lightweight champion Conor McGregor. Recent news suggests that the Irishman is going to be making his debut alongside Hollywood superstar Jake Gyllenhaal in an Amazon Studios production. Apparently, the movie is a reimagining of the original action flick ‘Road House’.
In an interview with George Janko, Jorge Masvidal was asked about his plans of making his Hollywood debut as an actor.
“If, uh… if the money makes sense, yeah!”, confirmed Masvidal.
Masvidal knew that getting a break in Hollywood doesn’t come easy and that sometimes, people have to start from the bottom. He said, “But that’s like, also like a fighting career because you got to start from the bottom Bob, right? You gotta f*****g, you know, do this run and they gotta say yeah this guy could… I could… how they gonna just throw me a bag? They’re not.”, he said.

Further elaborating on that point and talking about his take on it, Masvidal said, “They’re gonna have to see me one, two, three – knock it out of the park a couple of times and like, alright, you’re – you’re a draw here. Pop! Here’s your check and you get that right? And I’m like, skip all that. Just give me the big bag.“
